Nighthawk AC1900 does not play well with Arlo Netgear Base Station

Wifi internet router is a Netgear DGND3700v2 and my Arlo Base Station is hard wired thru CAT5 to it. I just purchased a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Wifi Range Extender to extend the range of the Arlo cameras we have. I have an issue hooking up the range extender and need assistance. Thank you

That will not work you can use the extender by plugging the base into the Ethernet port no way to boost the dedicated arlo wifi singal off the base station.

  • Thank you Darren. Does Arlo have any plans to allow Extenders to help the camera range?

    Hello jqcastelli

What issues are happening when you connected the extender are you getting internet but the base station is not working?

Extender does not see the base station as a valid wifi network to tie into. I want to extend the range of my arlo camera as the base station is hardwired to the DSL Router. What do i have to do to hook up the extender to the base station and then the cameras to the extender?

Are you connecting the base station via Ethernet to the extender?
