WPS connected WN3000RP to the router but devices can't access the internet thru the extender
The extender has worked OK until recently then no internet connectivity. It has been re-connected successfully to the router using WPS buttons but devices won't connect to the internet through the extender. Tried Following 'Resolution' on http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25504 but when I connect my laptop via ethernet to the extender and enter http://mywifiext.net/ it goes straight to an 'Oops' :
'Oops!
It seems that you have navigated to this page by accident. If you are looking to connect to the user interface of your NETGEAR Powerline or WiFi Extender device, please connect to that device’s WiFi hotspot and try the URL again (http://mywifiext.net)
You can make sure you are connected to your extender by following these simple steps:
- Use the WiFi network manager on your mobile device, such as a computer or tablet, to find and connect to the NETGEAR_EXT (SSID) WiFi network (or the name of the network you chose [name]_EXT).
- On a Windows PC, click the WiFi button and select your WiFi network....'
but, of course, can't connect to the extender thru a 'WiFi hotspot. So at a dead end... I would suppose the extender hasn't picked up the network key from the router - is there another way in to the extender via ethernet to correct the network key? Note the up/down arrows flicker when trying to connect a device.

Hi 4010sparky,
Please reset your WN3000RP to factory defaults.
You can press and hold the Factory Settings button on the side panel for 7 seconds. The Extender resets, and returns to its factory settings. Please also try setting up the extender through the web browser (see page 10 of 32)

When logging into mywifiext.net, please make sure that your device is connected to only the Extender network (and not connected to any other internet network).

Hi, thanks for your effort on this, however, no further forward. As before the extender hooks up with the router but no device will connect to the internet thru the extender. All the various devices I have - smart phones, tablets, Android, Apple even a Blackberry Playbook try to connect - you can see the connections arrows green light go on as the devices try to connect the statutory three times. But what has absolutely done it for me, is no variation of hpp://mywifiext.net will get to the extender menu using a direct ethernet connection between the laptop and the extender. Always get the 'Oops' message (see above). This has been the case through multiple factory resets and three to four different browsers. If this basic access facility doesn't work, then the extender is not fit for purpose. So it's with great and, I'm sure, enduring relief when I think of the time I've wasted over the last month, perhaps foolishly, thinking that Netgear would supply a reliable product, I have binned the extender and ordered an extender from an alternative supplier. I could still send it back to you if your technical department are curious as to find out what's going on and, perhaps, write a few lines of code to sort this out.
