Emailing logs...
Has there been a resolution when it comes to emailing logs from this router, R6250? I have dug and dug and I cannot find anything specific to mine. Any information I found was 5+ years old, or is about the Nighthawk. I would really like to be able to use this feature as it was designed/intended to be used and not with some funky work around or the need to create another email account.
I have tried all the recommened ports
I have tried all the smtp addresses
I am on the most current firm
Depending on the settings any one of the following log entries is created;
[email failed] fail to connect to outgoing mail server, Friday, Jul 07,2017 15:32:56
[email failed] Must issue a STARTTLS command first. f2sm12672334pgc.17 - gsmtp, Friday, Jul 07,2017 14:52:54
[email failed] internet connection is dropped, Friday, Jul 07,2017 14:51:49
Thanks,
Zips
I know this topic has been beat to death and I apologize if it was previously answered for my router.
Hi zips-fpv,
Are you using a Gmail account? If yes, the steps below may help out.
1. Log in to your Gmail then go to Settings.
2. Click on Accounts and Import then click Other Google Account settings.
3. Go to Security Check-up.
4. Click on Disable access on less secure apps.
5. Select the radio button to turn ON Access to less secure apps.
6. To test if it will send the logs via email, go to the router logs option on the router's GUI then click on Send Log.
7. You should now receive the router logs.Regards,
Dexter

I have the same problem - same error messages - on an R6400 with my email provider 1&1. It used to work on an R6220 but I suspect that 1&1 may have enforced better security in the couple of months since I last used it.
As a workround I set up a MTA (exim4) on an RPi on the LAN.
