EX6150 5ghz drop
Hi everybody
i have used my EX6150 with 2.4ghz for years without any problem. Now that i bought a modem/router that supports 5ghz I tried to configure the extender to use such bandwith. The extender succesfully connect to the 5ghz wifi but then the connection drop down and only with a power off/on cycle I can get it back.
Does anybody experienced the same issue? Any suggestions?
Firmware Version: V1.0.0.34_1.0.69
Thank you for your help!
Andrea

What router are you connecting it to?
Are you setting it up using wps or using the installation assistant?
Hi Plemans, thank you for your quick reply!
I am using the router provided by my carrier:
Technicolor MediaAccess DGA4131FWBand setting it up with the installation assistant

I couldn't find much info on that router (never a good sign)
A couple things you can try.
1. update the firmware on that extender. Looks a couple behind
2. setup the extender with a static ip address in your router
