No ADSL Settings on my WNR614/N300 NetGear router

Hi All,

This is my first post here. I just bought a NetGear WNR614 wireless router, and I'm having issues setting it up.

The router is connected to via WAN to a ZTE router. I need to configure the ADSL settings, but its not available. I cannot input the multiplexing method or any ADSL configuration since the tab is not present.

Only the Internet, WAN, LAN and Guest Network are present.

Any help appreciated please.

Thanks.

  • If you mean how do you "set your modem in bridge mode", check the modem's manual.

But with four other routers/access points you seem to have a pretty complicated network.

You can find the documentation for your Netgear stuff here:

    WNR614 | Product | Support | NETGEAR

The documentation clearly lays out the order in which you need to do things:

    • Unplug and turn off the cable or DSL broadband modem.
    • Unplug the router.
    • Plug in the cable or DSL broadband modem and turn it on.
    • Wait two minutes.
    • Plug in the router and wait two minutes.

You bought the wrong router if requiring ADSL settings.

What do you mean bought the wrong router? Its out of the box. How can there be no ADSL settings in a router.

So your suggesting all routers have a ADSL modem?

Is that a ZTE router modem?

You'll need one modem somewhere in the system to connect to ADSL.

Yes, the ZTE is an ADSL router/modem, which feeds 4 other routers/access points - with seperate SSIDs.

The problem is that the NetGear doesn't want to detect the internet connection signal, and there are no ADSL settings.

Not sure what the problem is tbh.
