r63002v2 slow speeds on 5ghz only

I have had a r6300v2 fo quite a while and have not had any problems with it. However recently with no noticable reason the 5ghz network started running very slow. My i have 60mbps download speeds from my isp but on the 5ghz band I only get around 15mbps. In the past I have been able to achieve the full 60mbps on 5ghz. The 2.4 ghz seems to be just fine. I also checked to make sure other devices weren't the problem, and my network was the only one on channel 161. I am using firmware version V1.0.4.6_10.0.76

    Hi mrkwanzaa,

    1. Have you tried changing the wireless channel for the 5GHz band just for isolation?

    2. Does the issue persist on all the devices that connect to the 5GHz band?

    3. Have you tried resetting the router?

    4. Have you tried changing the mode?

    Regards,

DexterJB About and hour after the factory reset, I noticed that my speeds seemed pretty good and ran a test again. After changing to an open chanel (but one I had previously tested on) I got the speeds I was looking for.

      Thanks for your help!

Thanks DexterJB. I tried all of those things with no different results. Interestingly enough after factory reseting my router for the first few seconds of the speed test I got the speeds I wanted, but it quickly went down.
