C6300 Can’t access routerlogin.net
Hi,
I need to update my wifi password which I was able to do through routerlogin.net previously but the website doesn’t seem to exist and the net gear pages throw me into a loop with no actual solution. The C6300 isn’t covered by the Nighthawk app and I can’t find where to access the same tabs that used to exist on routerlogin.net, on the net gear website that it continues to direct me to. Any help is appreciated

"seem"?

None of that is a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.> [...] the net gear website that it continues to direct me to. [...]
Should I be able to guess what that might be?
Have you tried "192.168.0.1" or "192.168.100.1"? Or the obvious?:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFMVisit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read? It's quite hilarious that the likes of you could be considered a "guru" around here. Low standards are a plague to every community. A monkey could take your place in this forum, and no one would notice the difference.
> "seem"?
Do you have trouble understanding basic English words? I'd teach you how to use a dictionary if you were capable of it.
> I have no idea what that means.
Well, OP did say that the "Netgear pages" threw them into a loop. A person with average reasoning skills would deduce that OP tried looking through some online articles and couldn't find their answer. But I think average reasoning skills are a bit too much to expect from you.

You seem like you couldn't "guess" what 2+2 is.

Your response would've been more concise if you left out the snarky, condescending comments. But who am I kidding? People like you (the products of lazy parenting) love to hear yourselves talk. The reason is that no one with self-respect would listen to you any more than they need to, unless they were insulting you, which must happen often.

Netgear certainly does not use that description, probably to avoid confusing users. That address should take you to the browser graphical user interface (GUI) for your device.
What happens when you try to get into routerlogin.net?
What is this "loop"?
Try this:
How do I log in to my NETGEAR wireless router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
and this:
If you cannot login to your router | Answer | NETGEAR Support
You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)
Many questions apply to different types of device, so you might get responses here, but you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.> There is no "website" as most people understand it. [...]
By "most people", he means himself. But, in any case, a description
like "the website" or "the net gear pages" or "the net gear website
[...]" is too vague to be useful.I don't see your reply to my latest insult, which was written in 2021-04-14 22:28 PST. Perhaps you did write one, but it got filtered without you knowing. Can you see it in a private browser window (or Incognito Mode)? If you can't, then I can't.

One member suggested using Firefox instead of Chrome and type in the IP address 192.168.0.1. It worked.

That is a standard strategy that Netgear mentions in its KnowledgeBase article:
How do I log in to my NETGEAR wireless router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
and this:
If you cannot login to your router | Answer | NETGEAR Support
You will also find this in the manuals for most devices.
I chip in only to point out that the exact address depends on the device you are using.
192.168.0.1 tends to be a modem address while for routers it is 192.168.1.1.
Some devices, plain cable modems for example, can have 192.168.100.1 as a default.
As this section of the Netgear community is supposed to be for routers, rather than the modem router mentioned in the subject, I wouldn't want anyone to rush off on a wild goose chase.

Did that change matter?

As suggested in the first reply, above?
> 192.168.0.1 tends to be a modem address while for routers it is
> 192.168.1.1."192.168.0.1" was the norm for a modem+router until recent models,
like the CAX series, which also use "192.168.1.1". (I haven't seen an
explanation for the change.) A simple modem tends to use neither
"192.168.0.1" nor "192.168.1.1".A DOCSIS (cable) modem or modem+router should be accessible at
"192.168.100.1", even when in modem-only mode.
The DM200 DSL modem+router, when in modem-only mode, should be
accessible at "192.168.5.1". (Dxxxx DSL modem+router models have no
such feature.)
