I can't get past the "Updating DST Adapter Information ..." spinning wheel
Have you found a solution?
The same thing is happening to me after a factory reset...
I can't get past the "Updating DST Adapter Information ..." spinning wheel.
It was working well before the reset.
Thanks!

Try plugging it into the same power strip as the router and try to update it again to make sure its not a issue in the power lines.
Unit was supported by Best Buy back then and is no long supported...EoL so hopefully you can get it working.

- Don't use the genie. Log in through the browser for setup. Factory reset the router and set it up through the browser.
- Manually update it. Its an old device. I'd get the firmware from here: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7300dst/ and update it yourself.
- photos of where its failing help.

You will want to check out page 25 onward: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/R7300DST/R7300DST_UM_06Oct2015.pdf

I've just read. It doesn't seem to help.
The router can't connect to the update server (updates1.netgear.com) and Genie gets the "connection broken icon" below. If I reload, I go either to the "Updating DST Adapter Information ..." spinning wheel or a broken link page.
My firewall is off.
I am also trying with a wired connection but it doesn't seem to work.
