Internet drops R7000
Hello,
I'm experiecing Internet Drops on my R7000 router.
The router is placed behind a Ubee (Ziggo) modem in bridged mode and the problem occurs on LAN and Wifi connections.
I read on other forums that other "Ziggo users" are also having this problem with the R7000, when I connect directly with the modem everything works fine without any drops, so it must be the router (or router/modem combination)
Does anyone have an idea what the problem can be and how to fix this?
Didn't have time to run wifi speedtests, but everything is still pretty stable (at least not noticeable) with the last settings I made.
I wil close this topic, with the accepted solution of disabling QoS.

This is a 2.4G result i get using firmware 1.0.3.24 .My 5G result will be around 218.00 Mbps.
My ISP provides me with 200Mbps .The latest firmware wont get near these results for me .

Hi Pacman,
Thanks for your feedback.
I fixed the problems I had with the Ookla speedtest and my VPN connection to the Office (the VPN connection was extremely slow) both wired and working on the latest firmware.
Because I was having drops on Spotify using my wifi speakers I enabled QoS. With this option enabled and giving the wifi speaker the highest prio the drops were gone, but I was having problems with Ookla speedtest and my VPN to the office.
I disabled QoS and at the moment I dont have any problems with spotify on the latest firmware.
Will try to run some speed test using wifi and the latest firmware to see if I have drops.
At the moment very happy to be able to work with a fast VPN connection and no drops streaming spotify.
Regards,
Gerhard

I had large drops with 2.4G -5G on the latest firmware 1.7 .
A simple solution that worked for me was to install the old firmware 1.0.3.24 and now i'm getting way above my ISP speeds.

Hi Ger1234,
1. What is the firmware version of the router? If it is not on the latest, try to update the firmware.
2. How often the dropping of connection happens? What's is the interval?

Hi James,
1. My firmware version should be the last one V1.0.7.2_1.1.93
2. I use this tool to check the speed https://www.ziggo.nl/speedtest?ecmp=sbr-307-13908&gclid=CLPSsKbfnc8CFUUq0wodVkQJMA&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CKeSwKbfnc8CFdMD0wodpnIJ0w
Normally this should give a straight line on 150Mbit, now it shows anaverage around the 100Mbit. The interval is random
I'm not sure, but maybe it started to be unstable since the last firmware (or maintenance on Ziggo side??)

Gerhard

Hi Ger1234,
Can you provide me the screenshot of the statistics of the Internet port. Use the link below on how to check it.
