R7000 DoS attacks help please
Not sure why but in my router logs I am seeing the following;
[DoS attack: Smurf] then an IP address which is the IP of my iPhone 13 pro max.
Anybody know what is causing this, it happens a few times a day and I cant say I am able to link any app/website/email activity to the log.
Thanks.
I have now managed to get the .134 FW installed and stable.

Netgear R7000 is notorious for false positives on the DoS attacks.
You can check the ip of the address if you'd like.
Is it impacting performance?
I'd do a quick search through the forums for more info on the potential false positives.
- The IP address is the one of my iPhone, so 182.168.1.12 which is not coming from outside but from inside I believe.
Is that correct?- plemansGuru - Experienced User
if its coming from your iphone, i'd look at it as a false positive.
You might try disabling random mac/ip address on the iphone and see if that helps.
Again, try a quick search on the forums
