R7000 Wifi not working/internet is
We gave the Nighthawk A7000. Been working fine for a year. Recently had a problem disconnecting from the modem. Spectrum was changing to DOCSIS3.1 and our router was 3.0. Thought this was the problem. Got a new router via spectrum 3.1 compatible. Modem is directly to router. We have internet to the desktop through the router and other devices directly. But Wifi is not broadcasting. The program indicates it is turned off. But the console light for Wifi is white. Wireless radios are enabled. Please help.

FYI: Even performed a factory reset of the router. Firmware is up to date. Still doesn't work. Unless someone in the community has something else to attempt, it's still under warrently and going back.

I would try reloading firmware on it and see if it revives the wifi.
- RIckinOrangeAspirantYour recommendation was good but attempted that. The software said the firmware was up to date. At 1.0.9.xxxx. When a researched the website support site, the newest version was 1.0.11.xxx. I don't know why the program didn't update it. Either way, the new firmware still didn't work. Thank you for the reply

Your subject says R7000 (a router) but the footer and text say A7000 (a USB wifi adapter). Two different animals. What are we talking about here?
Hard to tell from your message.Take this bit:

Sounds like a router.

What hardware do you have?
What is this modem? Make and model?

is there a button on the router to turn on/off the wifi for that model? try that. Also if you think the wifi has died on it, and you're going to get another router I would play with that router and add dd-wrt firmware and see if that would make it come alive again.

Spent a very long conversation with customer support. We reset the unit twice to factory. The tech stated that since all the lights are white, it's not a hardware problem. How could it not be a hardware problem when the software was reset to factory and the firmware updated? To go further, it would require a more indepth tech support contract. Since it is past the 90 day warranty, this will cost $80 for a 3 month service agreement. We bought in January. So in 7 months, it will cost half the initial cost of the router to fix. This isn't right. We just want a quality product that the company will support. To date, VERY dissappointed. (FYI: we got rid of the Orbi system for this Nighthawk because the 5.0 in the Orbi could not be turned off to allow our 2.4 only devices to connect (Rooma, Wyze cams, weather station....)
