Rif.: Nighthawk Rs200 - no WIFI after Reboot - Internet via LAN ok
I have the same problem. After a few weeks of working fine, the product suddenly started losing 3 packets after every 10 successful ones, and it just keeps doing it.
I got a new product after speaking with support, but the same thing happened. It worked fine for a few weeks, and then the same issue occurred again.
I've tried doing a factory reset and changing the DNS, but nothing helps. Sometimes, if it is disconnected overnight, it starts working fine for the first 10 minutes, but then it starts losing packets again.
I had version 1.0.1.60 on it and have now updated to 1.0.1.74, but the behavior remains the same.
There is a stable connection with the router itself on the default gateway.
You can see the communication with the router and the lost 3-packet cycle in the image below.
Does anyone else have the same problem? Does anyone have a solution for this? Is this a software issue or a hardware issue? Should I revert to an older firmware version?

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended. What wifi devices do you have connected?
Does this happen over ethernet as well or just wifi?Check to see on your router if Protection Engine is enabled or disabled?
Any other features like Armor, IPv6, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter are enabled?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

I have a Gofiber bridge (I got it from my ISP) but it is fine. when I switch to my old Cisco router this problem disappears and I can only see it using my Netgear RS300.
I connected via CAT6A LAN cable.
I have my smart TV and phone connected to it.
It happens on everything that is connected to the router no matter the network, LAN cable connection or wifi. It behaves the same for all of them.
i try both to disable and enable the protection engine but I get the same behavior.
I do not have Armor or IPv6 or any other feature.
I have made a factory reset when it was updated on version 1.0.1.60 but not since 1.0.1.74Might give one more factory reset and see. If not, I'd make contact with NG support about this.

After I commented here before and started a discussion with the wrong title I'm starting it here again so it will dispose of the confusion...
So after moving to a new place, I decided to get a new router as well and bought the Netgear RS300 WiFi 7.
Everything worked well for the first 3–4 weeks, and then suddenly, I started losing my connection to the internet every 20 seconds for 2–7 seconds. After that, everything would come back online for the next 20 seconds, and then the issue would repeat.
I unplugged my router for a few minutes and plugged it back in. Everything worked fine for 10–15 minutes, but then the same problem started again. I unplugged it and switched to my old Cisco router, and everything worked fine.
The next day, I swapped my Cisco router back with the new RS300, and everything worked well for a few days. However, after 2–3 days, the same issue started happening again. This time, unplugging it didn’t help. It would work fine for the first 10–15 minutes and then start losing signal every 20 seconds.
I got a replacement under warranty and received a new RS300.
And again, the same thing happened! It worked fine for the first 3–4 weeks, then started losing the signal again every 20 seconds!
I tried the following on all firmware versions (thinking it might be a software bug?):
Firmware versions tested:
After each installation, I did a factory reset and reconfigured the router.
The issue occurs on all connected devices, both wired and WiFi.
I tested it with both disabled/enabled Netgear Protection Engine.
I reconfigured DNS.
All wired devices were connected via CAT6A cable.
My router stats:
Hardware Version RS300
Firmware Version V1.0.1.74
GUI Language Version V1.0.0.451
Protection Engine Version 2.2.214.4/1.0.0.2112Operation Mode Router
CPU Load CPU1: 9.09% CPU2: 8.08% CPU3: 5.10% CPU4: 8.00%
Memory Usage (Used/Total) 638MB/1999MB
Flash Usage (Used/Total) 423MB/512MBNothing seems to solve the problem.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a solution? Do you think this is a software problem or a hardware issue?
As I said in the beginning, It is the second RS300 router with the exact same problem that I have (both with very close serial number)
You can see in the attached images the lost connection as lost packages to 8.8.8.8 and the valid connection to the router itself as 192.168.1.1

- Camaxtli1207ApprenticeI am having the same problem you are still no fix for this its sad really I spent a nice penny on this router too, but since I got it from Amazon I cant get a new one 😕 Last year wheb I got this router everything worked perfectly for 8 months or so. Then at the beginning of the LA Fires my connection kept dropping every 10-15 mins, nothing i did fixed the problem and honestly I am just getting tired of it, I might just go a buy a good cisco router for gaming and move on. Also can I get the link to the new firmware update? I have v1.0.1.60 , my RS300 says there is no update.

You can get the new firmware in here just install it manually.
To be honest, I did a little reverse engineering last night on this firmware and found a flush function in the binary.
This flush function triggers each time there is a problem with the router's stats for outgoing WAN traffic.
When this condition occurs, it simply flushes the connection and starts a new one (which matches the behavior I observed with the recurring connection losses).
So, I started wondering what could be triggering this behavior on my system. The only things I could think of were the WAN cable or the bridge I use to convert the connection from fiber to RJ45.
So, I replaced the WAN cable (although I really didn’t think it would make a difference since this cable works fine with my other router). After replacing it, the issue completely stopped, and everything seems to be working fine!
I still have a lot of questions, and I’m not sure if this has permanently solved the problem, but for now, it's gone...
1). Why did it work fine with this cable for four weeks before it stopped?
2). Why did it work fine with the other router at the same speeds but not with the RS300?
3). Why did this cable trigger the flush function to restart the WAN connection?
I’m still digging into the router firmware code to find answers, and I’ll update you if I discover anything new.
I'm still not sure if it does solved the problem or if it will return but I'll give an update about that in the following weeks
