RS700s Lost all 5 Ghz
My 18 Month old RS700s Bought on Amazon but shipped to Thailand has just now lost all 5 Ghz Connectivity . .
I did not notice at first until i tried an ookla speedtest, I have 1 Gb connection and always got high 900s, all of a sudden down in the 150s hmmmm
Started messing around with my NightHawk App, plus online access to the Router.
After many hours/Days now i seem to have tried everything i can find and think of
Have multiple devices in the apartment with the newest connecting to the 6 Ghz channel, and everything else the 2.4 Ghz Channel
The 5 Ghz channel does not even broadcast, it was on Smart Connect, I turned that off to view the 3 networks, but only 2.4 and 6 Ghz show (it is set to broadcast in the admin Panel)
Wired connections working Fine, the 6 Ghz channel ok (Not as fast as i would have thought) But the 5 Ghz is missing completely, i even tried enabling the Guest-5G Channel and that did not even show (Broadcast)
I am hoping someone can help me here please as driven me crazy, and although the RS700s is still in hardware warranty with living in Thailand no chance of me being able to return to Netgear ?
Any answers any suggestions all would be appreciated Please
Cheers
Phil

Have now done to 30-30-30 and still zero change, no sign of any 5 Ghz channel anywhere Hmmm
Everything ok in Admin Panel all ticked and showing Green, But Zero devices connect to 5 Ghz, only 2.4/6
The 3 lights on front of Router are all White and showing, But it is only the 2.4 and 6 that "Filcker" as data is being transmitted, the 5 just stays motionless white
I hope Netgear can do some sort of RMA for me in Thailand, I do not mind paying Import charges again and even the shipping back to them (That alone will be a few hundred $$)- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
Ok, you'll need to contact NG support and ask them about your RMA options:

Your reply came fast, not got up to do the 30-30-30 yet
My incoming Modem/Router ZTE has had its wifi channels turned off / Disabled since this NightHawk was installed, and has worked perfectly on all channels for over a Year, During this troubleshooting have set the NightHawk as both Router and Access Point, none of any of this made the 5 Ghz channel reappear - NetgearPhilAspirant
Still in Hardware Warranty, Have opened a case with netgear but no reply as yet, Bought from Amazon Shipped Internationally with import Taxes, But yes, still under warranty
I had to google what a 30-30-30 reset was
Internet Service Router is:
ZTE ZXHN F680
Will do the 30-30-30 Now and come back here- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

Try option #2 first...

Have you performed a factory reset on the RS router to see if this brings back the 5Ghz radio?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
If you live in a apartment complex, there maybe other wifi signals near by causing wifi congestion.
Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.

I have factory reset a few times, downgraded firmware and then upgraded again when no difference
Turned off smart connect, named all 3 channels (2.4/5/6) differently, and even turned on 5 Ghz Guest Channel, and although all the Admin panel shows green lights as if it is working (Even the Router white light at the front shows 5 Ghz working, it is not . .shows nowhere, in app all connections are either 2.4 or 6, it just does not broadcast 5 Ghz
Tried changing channels too, nothing i have done makes the 5 Ghz broadcast- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
Seems like maybe this could be a faulty unit. I presume your unit maybe out of warranty?
