Anti-virus detects malware in Readycloudsetup.exe - W32.Malware.Gen
The first time I tried to run readycloudsetup.exe my PC refused to execute. Ran the diagnostics and Microsoft stated that it was incompatable with my intel system and would only run on an AMD. Reboot...
You don't need ReadyCloud to set up the NAS. Just navigate to https://nasipaddress/admin
You should report the malware detection to WebRoot as well.

What postings? That is totally wrong, and in fact you cannot access the NAS over USB - ethernet is the only option for that.
As I said on your other thread, ReadyCloud is an optional service that you do not have to enable it (and it is currently disabled on my ReadyNAS).
