You don't need ReadyCloud to set up the NAS. Just navigate to https://nasipaddress/admin
You should report the malware detection to WebRoot as well.

What postings? That is totally wrong, and in fact you cannot access the NAS over USB - ethernet is the only option for that.
As I said on your other thread, ReadyCloud is an optional service that you do not have to enable it (and it is currently disabled on my ReadyNAS).
