Is the source the readynas, or is it the remote device?
Is the remote device connecting over the internet, or is it local?
What operating system is the remote device using, and what backup protocol are you using in the NAS?
Are you using the device's hostname or are you using its IP address?

Are you using a NAS backup job? If so, please post the settings.
Also, is SMB 1.0 enabled on the Windows server?

Try entering \\10.11.21.20 into file explorer on another windows machine, and take a look at the share name. That's the share name that should be entered as the backup job source.
Also, make sure you can actually access that share with from the Windows PC using whatever credentials you are using in the NAS.
Generally I find it more convenient to run a backup utility on the PC with the NAS as the destination. I use Acronis TrueImage for this.
