readycloud client app not connecting when outside local network

Hi team,

Since last one week, i have issues connecting my desktop readycloud app connecting back to my home RN102 readynas server.

When within local network, it works without any issues. However i have tried using different connections (4g, company network, etc) but no luck.

It accepts username and password and then just gets stuck in connecting mode.

By the way, i can connect readycloud.netgear.com and see all files. Only seems to be having issues with app. i have tried mobile app for ios and still same issues.

Could you please assist?

    Hello rutvij1982,

    Welcome to the community!

Have you tried logging in and out from the app? How about the version of the app?

Since the 6.5.2 firmware update my home nas and my nas at work will not let me connect through the readycloud app remotely.  Local is fine but remotely neither work since i upgraded the firmware..  Ready cloud apps are latest version

Try below and see if it works. Mine started working after i followed below steps:

Basically i had to go to Cloud tab in readynas admin page. Go to settings and turn off proxy. Toggle off the readycloud option and toggle back on.

After above steps, both iphone app and desktop client started working again.

        thanks,

  • After further investigation I found that my users can login remotely through ready cloud but since the firmware update the admin can only login through teadycloud local. Remotely it will not connect. Users connect remotely fine but not the user with admin rights. Can someone help? This is the same case on two separate machines
