ReadyCloud not allowing user to see folders
I am trying to setup ReadyCLOUD so a user can access my NAS over the internet, I have tried to follow instructions and have done everything required but the user still cannot access the NAS completely. The user is registered through ReadyCLOUD and has been invited to the NAS, I have made sure they have Read/Write access to a folder but they can only upload files. Whatever they upload they cannot see and they cannot see or download anything In the folder. They can see the root folder that is being shared but nothing in it. When they upload their file I can see it on my end(as the administrator). I have tried restarting the device and it hasn't changed anything. I have tried all sorts of tests and I haven't gotten anywhere, although I noticed if I try to turn on any protocols other than SMB the root folder that is being shared becomes invisible to the user, so the only protocol activated is SMB and I have the cloud user checked off as having Read/Write permission, but now I am not sure what to do now, please advise, thank you. My ISP is Time Warner Cable. We get our internet through Coaxial(Cable). My operating system is Windows 7 Professional while the users OS is Windows 7 Home Premium. Both 64 bit, Desktop computers.

- NhellieVirtuosoCan you try anonymous access? See if it will act the same?
What FW version are you running? - DaPumaAspiranthow do you do anonymous access? don't you have to be invited to the NAS before even being able to see it over the CLOUD? I make sure my firmware is always up to date every time I log into it, I am running version 6.2.2. I dont know if this help but if I log into the cloud(as administrator) I can access the NAS just fine, although this is done on the local network.
- NhellieVirtuosologin to readycloud as admin
right click the share>click share>uncheck read/write>click "next">Check "anyone access" >click finish - DaPumaAspirantafter flipping all the folder settings to everyone access and anonymous access he can see whats inside the folder now, but I don't want this setting to become permanent, any idea whats causing it?
I made sure he was checked under everything as having read/write permission so idk what I'm missing - DaPumaAspirantI noticed that if I remove a dns server with the address of 8.8.8.8, that I previously added due to someones suggestion it brings back the same issue even with anonymous access turned on. I dont understand why this isnt in the instructions at all.
- DaPumaAspirantDoes anyone know what could be causing this? I cant keep this folder open to anyone, I need to have specific set permissions for security reasons, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Also Thank you for your help Nhellie, if you have any other ideas please let me know as well.
