ReadyCLOUD Photo Backup on iPhone + iCloud (Optimised Storage)?
Hi,
Can someone please confirm how ReadyCLOUD Photo backup works when iCloud Photo Library is also switched on and also Optimized Storage is on?
If both are being used, then what is backed up and when?
Since switching on ReadyCLOUD photo backup on my iPhone, it has backed up about 500 photos. Although I have 20,000 photos on iCloud.
So what has it backed up? To me, it looks like it could possibily be only photos which have the full resolution ones downloaded to my phone (i.e ones I have recently accessed).
Although I did view one I haven't viewed before (and after the first backup) but it did not upload it when I kicked off a sync.
So I am unsure how any of this will work if iCloud Optimize Storage is switched on.
Perhaps it only backs up new photos going forward and no way of backing up historic ones?

ReadyCLOUD Media (Photo) backup works when you're mobile phone (iOS) is connected to the internet and it copies all the images from your 'Photos' folder only.

Was I able to answer your query about ReadyCLOUD Photo backup using the app on your mobile phone? If you want to have the capability or at lease a feature that will let you sync or backup your files from iCloud to your ReadyNAS, I suggest that you post another thread on this board.
