ReadyCloud States ReadyNAS 204 Offline

Hello all,

Yesterday I started getting a notification from the ReadyCloud PC client that my RN204 was Offline. This started after I went away for the 4th weekend and tried to connect from my laptop. As you can see it recognizes the name of the NAS, but says it is Offline, which it is not because I can use the Android mobile app to connect, share, and download files.

So anyone have any idea what is going on?

I should be able to see, and manage the RN204 from the new remotesite, correct?

Regards!

  • Brian,

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

The problem, as it turns out was that the RN204 was indeed powered off due to an over heating issue, which was not due to the NAS but the ambient heat of my appartment.

While away for a long weekend I turned off the thermostat to save cost, thus the apartment heated up pretty good in this Southern humidity.

Now that begs to ask why could I get to the RN204 with the mobile app, but not the web browser...anyway it's a non issue now and it is back online.

    Thanks for the assist!

    Hi GPSIS_HQ,

Yes, you should. I suppose that you're away for the weekend and using another network from where you at. Let me know if you have tried it another PC with the same up to date version of the desktop client.

    Kind regards,
