Readynas 102 readcloud services offline

Hi all,

My readynas 102 does not connect to readycloud.

I had readycloud working briefly in the past, but never satisfactorily. With the OS update I was hoping to get it back working again. finally managed to upgrade to OS 6.5.0.

but no matter what I do, I can not get readycloud to work. Manual is not helping, because the info is incomplete.

See attached picture: I am signed into readycloud, it is on. I have a green checkmark saying "internet available", but a red cross saying "services offline". I cannot find any info on what is wrong here.

My home setup is: the box from my provider (modem? Sorry I'm unfamiliar with the correct terms) then a netgear R7000 nighthawk (because the box from my provider has lousy wifi) and my readynas connected to my R7000. At first I had my readynas connected to my providers box, but then I could not access the readynas from my homenetwork. Now it is connected to my R7000.

my search for answers suggested I use DNS 8.8.8.8, which might help out, but it did not. The other two are the DNS servers mentioned in my R7000.

If I login to readycloud from my home network this is what I see, the shared folders "wheel" keeps spinning, but nothing happens.

If I try to discover devices, it says nothing discovered.

If I try to access the admin page in the readycloud webpage, this is what I get. I am at home, on the same network (my only homenetwork). I am confused...

if I use the readycloud app on my ipad, it "sees" my readynas, says its online, but when I try to access it, nothing happens, but the spinning wheel if infinity.... "Trying to connect"

same on my android device....

So I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, why it is not working a what I can do to sort this out.

anyone any idea what is wrong, what setting I should change to get it to work?

so what does the "services offline" mean, what can I do to resolve this?

thank you in advance

    Hi Brian,

OK, so I found that the proxy server was ticked. I unticked it and readycloud seems to be working again. I have not been able to try it from another network, only at home, so let me report back once that is done.

    so far so good!

    regards, HIJ

    Hi HIJ,

    Welcome to the community!

Can you check if 'Use Proxy Server' option is ticked under the Cloud->ReadyCLOUD settings page? Also, confirm if the e-mail address of your admin ReadyCLOUD account is used by one of the local ReadyNAS users in your system?

    Kind regards,

      Hi Brian

Thanks for your respons. Unfortunaly I am away now, so not in a position to check. Will be back over the next weekend.

      From my memory:

I am pretty sure the 'Use Proxy Server' option is NOT ticked. If I tick, what else needs to be filled in?

      emailadress:

I am the only user. I am pretty sure it is being used, but again, I need to check

I do get an email every night when it shuts down for the night, but I guess that is not what you mean?

so thanks again, let me check when I am back again, pls stay tuned!

      kind regards, HIJ

        Hi HIJ,

It doesn't need to be ticked if you don't have a Proxy Server. With regard to the e-mail address, just make sure that no local user (Accounts>Users) uses the same e-mail address of your ReadyCLOUD account.

        Kind regards,
