Netgear releases for manual downloading first, then the update server. 6.4.2 was released last week, and some folks from Netgear said it would be put on the update server today.
So either wait just a bit longer and try again - or do the manual download/install.

Updated manually. Same problem with the ReadyCloud app. Remotely, I can surf to readycloud.netgear.com and login and successfully access the NAS, but not with the app. The app claims that I am signed in and shows the name of the NAS, but the "connecting..." gear just spins and I never gain access to the NAS through the app. This test was carried out on a Win7 box.
