Cannot access admin page

This afternoon my ReadyNAS was inaccessible when I got to the office, so I pressed the power switch twice, and it slowly shut off.  Then I pressed the power switch once, and it very slowly restarted, making a lot of seemingly repetitive, but slightly varying disk noises.

The office computers can access it just fine now through the LAN.  I can access it just fine through ReadyCLOUD remotely.  However, when I try to open the admin page (I wanted to see if there was any error log to see what happened; ReadyCLOUD reports it is healthy, but I didn't trust that), it reports that the password is wrong.  I did not change the password.  It also reports that password reset was not enabled.  I do not remember ever being told I could enable it.

How can I reset the password so I can get into the admin page?

You can do an OS-reinstall from the boot menu.  That won't affect your data, but will change your admin password back to password.

It will also change your network settings back to factory default (DHCP, no bonding), and it will turn off volume quota (which is one of the settings on the volume settings wheel).  Even i fyou don't use quotas, you might want to enable it. Volume quota will give you more info on disk usage for each share (including snapshot space).

Instructions are on pages 50-52 the hardware manual here: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf  Just be careful not to do a factory default (which will wipe the disks).
