HELP INSTALLING PLEX PLEASE
Hello
I have a ReadyNAS 6 operating system, with PLEX installed. The dashboard disappeared and then the program stopped working. I removed the add-on and am now trying to reinstall it. I have located several programs that say they are the correct download, but none of them will install. The program that seems to be the most logical one is an spk file. Another one was a DEB file. the exe file was rejected by the ReadyNAS, as well as the other two.
Please help. Thank you.
Sheila

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat model ReadyNAS do you have?
What ReadyNAS OS 6 firmware version are you running?
Assuming you have an x86 model you need the Intel 6.x .deb from here: https://plex.tv/downloads
You would use the upload button to the upload the app. - livingem2AspirantReadyNAS Pro 6; firmware 4.2.26
Thank you - livingem2AspirantThe version you recommend is the DEB file that I mention. the ReadyNAS says that it is the wrong architecture.
Thank you. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSo you are running RAIDiator 4.2.x not ReadyNAS OS 6 (I assumed from your first post that you were probably running OS6). You need the Intel 4.x .bin file which you could install via Add-ons > Add New in Frontview.
The NAS checks the file you attempt to install to make sure it is right for your system and that it is not corrupt before attempting to install it. - livingem2AspirantThank you so much. could you possibly point me to that file?
- livingem2AspirantPLEX is not listed from the add new link . I found a PLEX x86 download on another page, but it is an spk file.
Thank you - livingem2AspirantI found it and it installed. thank you!!!!!

Select "NAS" under server. Then netgear at the top left, and intel 4.x at the bottom left.
