Plex not working after OS Reinstall

Hi All,

Over the weekend I had to do an OS Reinstall to gain access back to the rn214 admin page (due to the readycloud account deletions).

Since then PMS will not run. If I click on Plex in the admin page home screen I get "connection refused".

I have tried to remove and reinstall the app but with no success.

Any ideas what to try next?

Thanks

Geoff

Update to 6.7.0 and try installing the app over the top of itself.

      Thanks mdgm,

I wasn't aware there was a newer firmware, don't recall it popping up on the admin page.

I'll do that at the next opportunity and report back.

      Thanks again

      Hi mdgm,

I've went to the NAS admin page and checked for updates. Message says I'm on the latest firmware.

      For clarity I'm on 6.6.1

      Thanks

In case this helps others:  Could not access admin page via ReadyCloud or Raidar 4.3.8 on same network. Could not access RN 312 and 212. ReadyNAS Pro 2 had no problems.  On the 312 and 212 I could access shares from the inhouse network, but not the admin page.  Did a firmware reset and data was saved but Plex denied connection.  Tried to remove Plex, removal unsuccessful.  Clicking on admin page for finding new firmware said I had the latest (6.6.1?).

Read here there was a 6.7.  Downloaded and installed it and Plex started right up.  Seems like strange problems.  Anyone know what they were?

      Thanks

There was an issue on recent firmware where when you did a firmware update or OS Re-install the installed packages list could get a little messed up. This was resolved in 6.7.0.

  • Had the same problem this weekend....could not connect to a 312 or a 212 NAS.
Did a firmware reinstall.  Data was intact, but Plex server was "not reachable".  Tried to reinstall Plex server on RN212....reinstall failed.  Tried to uninstall Plex on RN212 and the uninstall failed.

    Any ideas?

      Hi Blueray3,

Seems to be the exact same issue as I'm having.

I'm not really sure what to do next. A firmware update has been suggested but my NAS doesn't see an update...

      Thanks

      Geoff
