Readynas Public Link down?
My ReadynasPhotoII says my HostName for web forwarding is not registered. It has been registered for over a year. It appears the site linking to our servers is down. Anyone else having the same issue? :x

All server issues are resolved (finally). New invitations should work now. Thanks for you patience.
Happy Thanksgiving! - rpoenaruAspirantI am still getting the same problem.
I have re-started the service and re-booted the NAS twice.
It still says Status - Not Registered and Public Access URL Not Available. - pkasTutorI am still not having any luck. My Web -forwarding status is still showing "Not Registered" and the diagnostic results are:
Error: Error while checking public ip. Please try it later. - NASguruApprenticeNew invitations are still not working, but I can login locally to RN Photo II. I can also create albums with no issues. However, I cannot login via the public link: http://photos.readynas.com/NASname which seems to imply there are still issues with the public servers with redirect and/or DNS. On the other hand, I can login using my public IP in the link: http://x.x.x.x:8086/photos2/login.html Is there any status as to when this will be fixed? I should note rebooting the NAS or uninstalling/reinstalling the Add-on has made no difference up to this point.
Thanks! - pkasTutorWell, it seems that I can successfully connect via photos.readynas.com/NASname again! I did not make any changes on my end. I left my home this morning when things were not working. When I returned, for the heck of it, I tried it again -- and it worked!
- pkasTutorThe service is down again!
- BlakeBlazeAspirantI had opened a support ticket with NETGEAR Support. Their 3rd level support had fixed the domain "photos.readynas.com" and ouside access worked for about 24 hours. It's down again. I rebooted my DUO V2 and now it will not register. I sent email back to support to reopen the service ticket. Suggest folks open a support ticket at their website (need to set up account & register your NAS) at: https://my.netgear.com/registration/login.aspx
**Update - as of 9:20pm EST the "photos.readynas.com" link was working. I watched for about an hours or so while it went up and down. Not sure if the fix is permanant ** - pkasTutorYes - thanks - things are working for me, too.
In the interim, I was poking around the MySQL databases on the ReadyNAS and have figured out how to circumvent the photos.readynas.com service to access an album. That is, I can create an external URL (i.e. that would work on the internet, not just my home LAN) to access an album without going through the photos.readynas.com server. This URL would be appropriate for the desired user and the desired album.
As of now, the steps are manual -- I will probably code up a simple perl script to make it easier for me.
I don't want to publish this information (I am guessing that the photos.readynas folks would not want this to be published, at least because they would want to reserve the right to change how the database works, etc.), but if the service goes down again, you can PM me for more info.
pkas - xtc68Aspirantall works fine for me ! Thanks for your job !
- ce34AspirantHi , i don't know if all works fine for everybody but on my side things have changed but i'm still stuck with Phoyos II. When i use the Manage ReadyNas
Photo II function i get a status not ready and when i use the diagnose option i get the following
OK: All connection tests from ReadyNAS Photos II to UPnP Router and photos.readynas.com site have passed.
OK: Hostname nas-A0-51-80 is available.
Error: Fail to access Photos II (http://xx.yyy.zzz.ww:8086) from internet. (error=-2). If you disabled automatic configuration of UPnP router, please make sure port 8086 is forwarded to the NAS.
OK: Successfully found your public IP (xx.yyy.zzz.ww).
I have to tell you that of course i did not disable the automatic configuration of UPnP router that i rebooted both the router & the NAS more than one tilme .
Could you tell me what is the meaning of RC -2 from internet .
One more info: before to upgrade to 5.3.6 everything was fine with Photos II (about one month ago) and that i am at level 5.3.7 now
Txs for your help
