Reset my password ReadyNAS 212

I'm trying to access ReadyCLOUD and access my ReadyNAS 212.  It asks me to sign in to the device with my username and password.  I don't recall which they are.  How can I reset the password?

    aspeare,

    Welcome to the community!

You can reset the password of the ReadyNAS by performing an OS Reinstall.

Please take note that this will not wipe your data and it will just reset some settings such as the IP address and the administrator password to defaults.

You may refer on this KB article here on how to perform an OS Reinstall.

aspeare:  Is your issue specific to ReadyCloud?  Or have you also forgotten the admin password to the NAS?

When you log in directly to https://nas-ip-address/admin (using the real NAS ip address, or its name), then the username is admin.  If you don't recall that password, then the OS reinstall suggested by JeraldM is the right next step.

But if you can log in directly, then this is only about your ReadyCloud account - and in that case its not the right step. If you can log in directly to the NAS, you can see the username on the Cloud page of whe admin web ui (but not the password).  But you can then go to readycloud.netgear.com, and use the "forgot password" option.

Also, since Netgear has implemented single sign on, it is possible that the username is aspeare (and the password would be the same as your forum password).

I don't recall the admin password.  The alternative, losing all the data on the drives, is not something I can do.  There's nothing other than the "nuclear option"?
