Sort order for album photos
Having imported a folder, I can't work out the sort order for the photos, it seems completely random. I have photos taken a couple of minutes apart that are rows away from each other. I would have thought that it at least should show them in photo exif date order or file time order if there is no preference option.
Anyone konw?

Just updated to version 1.0.2 this morning and confirm there is a sort option to sort by capture time or upload time, which does reorder my test sample according to the exif time - Great!
However, the concept of 'Upload time' is not clear, particularly when using the "importing existing photos" option as it's not clear what order is used to upload photos from an existing share. It _looks_ like the import is uploading them in file time order, not file name order, but I can't be sure.
I would really like a preference that allows the default sort order to be set to exif time. Of course I'd also like to be able to rearrange photo order once they are in the DB, but I guess that will take a bit more work. - Trial_MasterAspirantIs there a way to way to create a new Album in front of all the other albums instead of behind them all?

We'll look into having an ordering option. - sabatholAspirantHello,
At first, please excuse my English, I'm french...
6 months later, I would like to know if it's now possible to sort albums.
An other suggestion : it would be very nice to be able to group albums by theme, like categories but for albums...
Concerning categories, is it possible to rename or delete a category ?
Thanks for your answers. - cbarenkobAspirantHi,
I'm using ReadyNas Photos II, v1.0.6, and I would as well ask to have the possibility to sort the order of the *ALBUM*.
Can this be possibly and added soon? It has been requested since a long time I can see in this Forum.
As today the Album are just added to the list of Album, and thus the newest Album just added last in the list. This is not a good Album order for me.
I would like to be able to either sort all Albums manually and the order I feel like, i.e. the Order can be set/organized in a "drag-and-drop" kind of way. Or as a second option, to at least be able to sort the Albums by the *Name* of the Album (Alphabetic Order). (Not by upload date... )
Please add this feature to an already great product. :D

- cbarenkobAspirantHi,
any one have a hint how to do the ordering (both Tabs and Album order...), even if it would be doing it manually in the NAS (through SSH) in the RNP2 folder...?

As for renaming and deleting categories you can go to the ALBUM NAVIGATOR drop-down (top left), select the Album/Category, and click on the gear icon -- this will give you the options you're looking for.
