SSH connection closed
I've enabled SSH. But every time I log in, the connection is closed. What gives?

- chirpaLuminaryUse login 'root', not 'admin'.
- imagiro1TutorI'm using root and my admin password. I haven't created any other users, so it's the only password I have. When I try to login, it says my password it wrong. There's no way I could have typed it in wrong this many times.
I have enabled SSH in services. Do I need to enable anything else?
Thanks. - imagiro1TutorGot it!
- liodraAspirantHi!!
For my part I don't get it..
Which password do I have with root???
Thanks a lot! - vandermerweMasterThe same password you use with admin to login to the readynas GUI.
What nas do you have?
How are you trying to ssh in? Putty?
What are you trying to do using ssh? - liodraAspirantI have a ReadyNAS104.
I'm trying to connect via Terminal in OSX.
I want to use SSH to connect as an admin when I'm not on the local network and also modify some files (for Transmission for example) - vandermerweMaster
ssh root@ip.address.of.nas
Obviously put in the IP address of your 104
Then your password is the same as the GUI login password
Are you aware of the support implications of using ssh?
Have you upgraded to 6.2.0? - liodraAspirantWell it's not working when I put this password...
- vandermerweMasterHave you enabled ssh on the Nas?
I added some questions to my previous post.
Are the Mac and the NAS on the same LAN? - liodraAspirantYes I'm in 6.2.0 and SSH is activated.
What are the support implications?
