3TB Western Digital WD30EFRX compatibility
I recenty purchased a ReadyNas 6 Ultra with 3 Western Digital WD30EFRX drives. They are on the compadability list. I am running OS 4.2.22. When I built my system with 3 of these 3 TB disks using RAID x2, I only get 3.4 TB of space in the volume. I think I should see about 5.8 TB. Does anyone know a fix for this issue? Tech Support is of little help. I have had a case open for almost a week ( Case # 20517410) and they have offered no solution. Frustrated! Tom

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDid you install these disks when running 4.2.15 or earlier?
Are you able to try a factory default (System > Update > Factory Default in Frontview)? - Please be mindful that when prefrom a Factory Default you will lose your data!!!!
- pesektlAspirantResetting the Readynas to factory defaults finally fixed the issue along with using rhe Flex-RAID mode instead of the X-RAID2. This rebuild was much faster than previous attempts using X-RAID2 also. I am convienced that there are problems with the X-RAID2 and these 3TB drives but can't prove it. Since I have 4 disks and wanted RAID5 anyway this isn't a real issue.

Most likely you added the 3TB disks on 4.2.15 or earlier where they were not supported and the factory default resolved it.
