Ok, so its me and my nas again... This time i fear im up poo creak with no paddle (pardon my french).
So i had no easy accessable way to test out the drive, so i thought "i might just have been a bad connection or something" then i blew a couple of breaths over the connectors on the drive (my pro it tech schooling coming into us there^^) and pushed it back into the nas and turned it on. The nas found the drive again and started to sync it up n stuff. After like 14h everythings all good. The next week was fine and the nas did its planned scrubbing and consistency check with no prob. Then i tried to access a vid from my suroundsystem (Samsung) and it started to load the vid (have to wait like 10sec for the drives to spin up and stuff after i enabled spin down powersaver (use the nas like twice a day at the most)).
And like 30sec onto the vid it stopped and all vids i tried said "unknown format" and i knew something was wrong. So i checked the display on the nas, but onlike last time it didnt say "c: unsecure" like it did last time when had the 3tb marked as [Dead]... now it says "Resync c: 0.0%" and its been saying that for over a day now :<<
So now im wondering :
Is the entire partion done for? Do i dare turn of the nas while it says "Resync c: 0.0%"? What is my best course of action, to turn the nas of and replace drive or hot swap in a new drive, its clear the resync is not gona ever be done....
Should i get another 2TB drive or buy a full set of 3tb (that was the plan before i got problems with the current 3tb drive, is it the nas (as in ultra 4 vs 3tb drives) or the drive?
Is it something dodgey with the 3tb's in the nas regading spin downs, scrubbing or consistency checks, i dont know. Might it be becuase its 1x 3tb and 3x 2 tb leaving about 1tb unalocated, again i just dont know...
This is a print screen of my current status (volume and drive 1 lights are blinking green and yellow) :

i would very mutch like to get some good suggestions to my next course of action since as u can see from the SS there is a lot of data to be lost if the partion goes boom...
PS. It does not say anything about resyncing on the other drives in RAIDar.
