Activity light activity
I have just set up my RN212, installed 2x4TB drives, allowed for disk setup (4 hours), and set up a disk synch with one drive on my pc. That's all synchronised and done.
However every 5 seconds or so the activity light double-blips. I thought it might be checking the synch of the drive on the PC, but apart from the fact I think it is ReadyNAS Cloud app on the Pc that does that, it continued after I turned the PC off.
It seems to me to be unusual for this constant activity, especially since there is an admin option to spin the drives down on inactivity.
Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks, Andrew

Note you picked the wrong ReadyNAS model in your model tag. What you picked is the old Duo v1 (2008 product).
What firmware are you running, and what apps are installed? Did you try tempoarily turning ReadyCloud off in the NAS web UI?
FWIW, I am not seeing any blinking of the activity light on my RN202. That is running 6.9.4, and is not in ReadyCloud.

Thanks for the reply. The model is a 210 series rn21200 (as farfar as I know).
The firmware is 6.9.4. At this stage only the default readycloud app is installed as I want to ensure the thing works before adding more functionality.
I will try your suggestion. I've been out of town for a week hence the delay.

As an aside Insight also tells me that the unit disconnects from ReadyCloud every so often. No more than once a day but several times over the last week
Not sure what that's about either.

I turned off the readycloud connectivity and the activity light has stopped.
So we're back to "is this normal"?
I have it turned on because part of my plan is to reduce the amount of personal information I keep on google drive, so I can access it directly. Though mobile connectivity is fairly slow and my phone instantly reports the app as a" power intensive app running in the background". But that's another topic.

Scratch that last. With readycloud turned off I am still getting blips of the disk activity light.
