Admin Password Reset RN 10223D
Hi All,
It's been a few years since I used my NAS and I figured I would try to set up again. I know the name of my network and my IP but don't recall password and password hint.
Not sure if there is data on it so I don't want to do a factory reset, but just an OS one. I pressed the reset button while powering up unit and then I don't know what to do. When I go to the IP address, it doesn't load - i'm assuming it's in boot mode?
Also, ReadyCloud can't discover the device and it's attached to my home network. Tried to use admin and password, netgear1, 1234 so far.
Any advice on what to do? Thx!

Hi FJ20,
Welcome to the Community!
Doing an OS reinstall should reset the admin password and the network settings to default without losing your data. You may check this article for the steps in accessing the boot menu and selecting OS reinstall. The default admin credentials of the RN102 is admin for the username and password for the password.
You can also install RAIDar on one of your computers and use that software to discover the NAS on your network. You may download the installer here.

Thanks JohnCM_S!
I'll go through the link you provided and may be doing it incorrectly. If I may describe what I'm doing, and you can let me know if that is correct, I'd appreciate it!
1. Put pin into reset button in back
2. press power
3. Four lights come on within 15 seconds
4. press the backup button
5. Only the power and ACT button are lit now
6. Continue to press backup button to get the led 2 light to turn on but doesn't work
Should I wait longer before pressing the backup button?
Thx for your advice, I'm a novice on the tech side! :)

No.
Note that you do release the reset button after the four lights come on.
