I've never used them, and hopefully someone who has will reply.
Generally, posters here who have used HGST drives seem quite happy with them. There are very few problems reported with them. And the model you are considering is on the HCL for the RN314, so using it won't create any support issues.
FWIW, the HCL still lists the manufacturer as "Hitachi", though the WDC acquisition was completed in March 2012...

I checked the HCL, and the issue for me was that the model number differs (Hitachi HDN726060ALE610 vs. HGST H3IKNAS600012872SN). Is it definitely still the same drive?

Great. Newegg's got these HDDs for $230 today plus various discounts (I managed to knock one down to $200 even), so I took the plunge.
