Backup Plex configuration
I am moving my Plex server from my ReadyNAS Ultra 4+ to another, newer, more powerful NAS.
I know what files and folders I need to copy across but when I go to set up a Backup job, I cannot select the folder I need as only my Shares are visible.
How do choose the Plex config folder which is located under '\\NAS-name\data\.apps\plexmediaserver'?
I'm running OS 6.10.3.
Many thanks in advance.
If you know how to run rsync from the linux command line (ssh), you could transfer the folder to the destination NAS w/o using a backup job.
Another option with ssh, is to copy the plexmediaserver folder into a share. Alternatively create a zip the folder in a share (which will copy over the network much faster).
You can also of course drag and drop to the destination. That will be slower, but doesn't require any knowledge of linux.

Thank you for those various options. I'm not skilled enough for the first two so will just go with Copy/Paste via my PC. I suspect it is not a huge amount of data but it will be tens of thousands of small files.

Of course it will depend on the size of your media library. On my own NAS it is about ~150,000 files and ~6 GB.
You could run into some file permission issues with drag and drop. The instructions for zipping it via ssh are here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Storage-Apps-Current/Unable-to-access-PLEX-media-files-Permission-issue/m-p/1993822
