BitTorrent Add-On and Netgear WNDR4500 Router!?
Dear all!
I have a problem with my Torrent!! Can someone help me, please?
I replaced my old Netgear ProSafe Gigabit Router and Accesspoint with the new Netgear WNDR4500 WLAN-Router. Since that day, when loading files into the BitTorrent of may Ready Nas Duo, it seems as there is no communication to the Net. Is the router maybe blocking this Service? Do I need to set up this router for some special port forwarding?? I really tried out a couple of things but finally I went out of ideas :?
Because I can access the Nas from my PC through the router without any problem, internet surfing works fine, music streaming also no problem. So evertyhing works but the the BitTorrent :(
I would really appreciate any help on this issue!

- It can be a couple different points:
- Your NAS has some old network settings that happened to work with your old router, but doesn't work anymore with your new router. This can, for instance, be a static IP address, dns-settings, etc. This also means that your NAS will have no other connection to the internet either. You can check the settings in FrontView->Network->Interfaces. In most cases, "Speed/duplex mode" and "IPv6 assignment" should be set to auto. "IPv4 assignment" should be "Use value from DHCP server".
- You have to open the port that the bittorrent-add-on uses for its connections on your router. I've got no idea what this port number is, but you can probably find it somewhere in the settings of either the add-on or in the port-forwarding-settings of your old router. If the bittorrent add-on supports upnp, you can turn it on and it will automatically do the port forwarding settings on your router if it has upnp enabled as well. - Thank you so much for this great hint! Works now with the IPv4 assignment set to "Use value form DHCP server". :-)
