Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
So... I'm thinking of finally getting a 2nd NAS to pair with my trust NV+. I'd like to get a Pro 6 for the CPU bump--I run a fair number of add-ons and would like to convert my NV+ into a pure mirror/backup and let the new NAS do the heavy lifting. As such, there's not specific urgency to buy, but it I'd be looking to upgrade probably within 6 months.
So, some questions:
1. Looking at the release history, it seems like there haven't been any new Pro-level NASs in almost 2 years. I believe the Pro got a modest CPU bump in April, but not much has changed since. Any ideas if there will be an additional bump or new model released soon?
2. Does anyone know if retailers will have any good pricing for the holidays? Say Black Friday/Cyber Monday? It's not too far off, and per my buying horizon, would definitely work out.

- 1) Pro 6 was released late last year. The first gen Pro was released a couple of years before. As for when new models will come we users can only guess.
2) I guess that's possible.
You'll need to transfer your data across your network to the new NAS as the Pro 6 is an x86 NAS vs the NV+ (Sparc ReadyNAS).
