Can i connect the readynas104 to two different routers each on their own network

Hi,
I have an old readynas104 that has served me well. I have now just got a second fibre connection to my house. One fibre connection for kids and another for business. The readynas has two ethernet ports but when I connect each one up to a separate router the nas is only available on one of the networks and not the other. I have tried giving the readynas104 a different static ip address on each but nothing seems to work, which seems a shame given that it has two ethernet ports. Is what I want to do possible or am I completely wasting my time? Many thanks.

So both routers are using the same LAN subnet - using 192.168.1.x addresses.  That won't work.  You need to change one of them to something else - 10.0.0.x is a good option (and is also reserved for this purpose).

If you have configured any static IP addresses, switch them back to DHCP before you do make this change.

Static addresses in general are a bad idea, it is better to use DHCP in the client devices, and reserve IP addresses in the router for any devices that need a fixed IP address.

Are both routers using the same LAN subnet (for example 192.168.1.x)?  If they are, reconfigure one of them to use something else (for instance 10.0.0.x).

i had one as 192.168.1.11 and the other as 192.168.1.111, but this did not work. When I remove the ethernet from the network where it works then the other one starts working. It may just be a problem with my device. Thanks for the reply.
