Changing power siupplies in storage systems
Our client has a couple of Netgear 3200S and 4220S Storages installed.
Can we change the 550W standard power supply with 700W?
Is it possible to install additional 700W 12V power supplies in these systems?
Do you mean 3220 instead of 3200?
My 3200 and 4200V2 both came with 700W supplies. They use a standard SuperMicro chassis that uses their standard form factor for redundant supplies in a 2U chassis, an Ablecom PWS-702A-1R in this case. If your client's did not come with that, then they could certainly upgrade. Note that SuperMicro does not recommend you mix wattages, so you need to replace both.
I don't recognize the chassis manufacturer of the 4220..
