Hi mswain94
You will have to get access to your Main Branch network by configuring VPN (You will have to check your router manual for this) on your routers so mapping can be done on the shared folders.
HTTP and FTP is another way of accessing shares, you may have to configure port forwarding to access it outside the network.
If you want to get access to your Shares and ReadyNAS GUI then enabling ReadyCloud is the option to go. You will be able to remotely access the Admin page and share folders with other ReadyCloud users.
Other community members might be able to add insights on the setup you want to accomplish.
Hope this helps!

I agree with you that ReadyCloud is not the way to go in a business environment. The fact that your ReadyCloud user and your local user are diofferent users is the number one reason, but there are others. A VPN is the way to go. There are many ways to implement that. You can do it in your router or in the NAS. I personally like ZeroTier, as it establishes a "parallel connection". The standard IP is still there, and then there is the private ZeroTier port. You have to install ZeroTier on each PC (or phone) that needs to access the NAS, but then you just use the ZeroTier address anywhere you would normally use the standard IP address. It even works NAS-to-NAS. More details here: ZeroTier-and-the-ReadyNAS.
You can find a ReadyNAS specific version here: NAStools/zerotierone. It's a bit old, but still works. It has an advantage of a GUI. Alternately, you can do a standard Linux install via SSH, which has only a command line interface.
