Dead RND 2110 DUO v2. Now what to buy?
Hi!
Recently, my Readynas RND2110 v2 DUO died due to some electrical failure in my house, and now I want to buy another readynas. But of course, I want to migrate my two harddrives to the new chassis. I have 2 x 2 TB disks, which was set up with "X-raid". I just use my readynas for plain storage, not using any fancing features, but I would really like to upgrade to a 4-bay chassis, if I can continue to use my to harddrives.
Do you guys have a tip for me what chassis to buy and may I migrate my drives (I have all my picture library on them and I reaaallly really need to save them)?
Regards!

- RXLuminaryYou may want to consider the RN104 since its also an ARM-based ReadyNAS. However, you may need to check if your existing drives are compatible with the RN104 on this link below:

Kindly check the data sheet as well:

Your product registration on our support system indicates you have a Duo v1 hardware revision 2 which is a Sparc unit. - vinnalottAspirantThanks! Crap!!! Seems that I actually have a duo v1 rev 2 (sparc). :/ is there any way to save my data on the harddrives then?
- vandermerweMasterYou may be able to read one of the disks (usually disk1) using http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredEven going from a v2 to a newer NAS remote assistance from support would have been needed.
We do have a procedure for recovering data using a newer model. However there can be a charge for this, and it is important to wait for support's instructions before doing anything.
Using software on a PC is one option to try to get your data back.
