Differences between models?
I love readynas products, but I find it maddening when trying to compare models based on posted online information.
I"m trying to recommend one of the RN422 rackmount models to my employer and I see no difference other than about $3000 in the price between the two listed below. Any reason it is so vague?
RN422X124
RN422X64E
or their slightly smaller capacity siblings.

This might right spec
Hard Drive Configuration 6 x 4 TB vs Hard Drive Configuration 12 x 4 TB
64E means 6x 4TB 124 means 12 x 4TB
Seems make sense . - Thanks,
I thought that might be it, but in the comparison, they both show as 48TB and the one has an "E" at the end and the other doesn't. I wasn't sure what the "E" signifies. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI think the E stands for Enterprise Disks. However all semi or fully populated 12-bay ReadyNAS units ship with enterprise disks, as only enterprise disks are suitable for those models.
