Disappointed with my Netgear readyNAS Duo purchase :(
After 3 years of disappontment with my Iomega NAS (it never did half the things it promised it could and had terrible support to the point where Iomega don't reply to any customer questions or do any ...
I believe, but may be wrong, that Netgear Pulled their BT Client from fairly recent updates of firmware. This also applied to new, off the shelf units I believe, but again, I could be wrong.
It might only apply to x86 NAS units, rather than the much older (& slower) SPARC units, like a Duo. I just know that I have seen "official" comment on this matter recently, by one of the crew here. Chirpa, maybe? (I'm just guessing, I can't recall whose post I'm thinking of, if I'm being 100% honest.)
Anyway, the DUO BT that was built in was always a bit iffy IMO, so I binned that pretty much instantly. - I don't use it often, but when I do, Transmission does the job for just fine.
Super_Poussin is dev for Transmission, and does it all in his free time, and has recently pushed out new updates/fixes for the x86 version of Transmission. Maybe he's done the same for the SPARC units too? I haven't checked fully, sometimes the betas get hidden in the discussion or feedback area of the Addon section.
