The firmware version might show up briefly on the LCD if you boot diskless - worth a try anyway.
I don't think RAIDar will show it to you either (I think it just says "no disks"). But that's worth a try too.
Let us know if either does the trick.

Hello,
finally I just got my new(used) Readynas Ultra 6 and like StephenB wrote there is no way to see Firmware version on LCD or Raidar. So what I did was I put disks from Ultra 4 Plus(RNDP400U) and turn power on. Ultra 6 show me on LCD updating Firmware and after couple of minutes it shows IP and capacity of HDD's. Whe I go to admin page everything was fine all settings from Ultra 4 plus was in my new box, all data are shown with volumes etc. even Time Machine was ok only what I need to do with it was to choose new disk on OSX site. So migration from broken box to same architecture but bigger box was flawless. Thank you StephenB for advice. I will post new post with whole explanation about my situation with broken Readynas Ultra 4 Plus(RNDP400U) shortly.
