Hi I currently have a ReadyNAS 214 series 4 bay NAS device and it is working fine. I would like to know if when the time comes that I need to replace one of the hard drives, then does it mat...

It doesn't have to be the same model, but I do recommend that you stick with NAS-purposed or enterprise drives for your NAS (ignoring the desktop options on the HCL). Avoid the WD60EFAX, as it is SMR. Ironwolf drives would be suitable.
If you go with an 7200 rpm drive, you will get a warning that the speeds mismatch. I don't of any harm that will result (and never experienced any when I mismatched speeds years ago).
As far as size goes, you can go larger with 6 TB if you like, but not smaller. The system won't use the extra space unless you upgrade two drives to the larger size.
