Do ReadyNAS Ultra systems have PFC?
The specs for Ultra NAS power supplies (PSU) don't say whether they have power factor correction (PFC) or not. Neither are there any articles from NetGear about what type of UPS are compatible or not...
I should have included some background on this. I added a link to a white paper. I'm sure Google will bring up other articles.
The topic of needing sine-wave UPS for modern PSUs was news to me until just recently. I have to assume there are a lot of folks out there who haven't run into this yet. In this case, NetGear hasn't addressed it either.
