Does the 4200 support TRIM commands for SSDs?

Does the 4200 support TRIM commands for SSDs? I understand that SSDs are not on the HCL but we need the added performance that a SSD provides.

Edit: SSDs not supported at this time: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=324904#p324904

The kernel is new enough, but the ReadyNAS does use Debian Etch and the kernel is customised. There's some backporting going on, I think. I don't know whether NetGear has tested to see if TRIM works and they're probably unlikely to say if they have.

If you're familiar with the command line you could install EnableRootSSH (http://www.readynas.com/?p=4203) and SSH in and take a look and see if TRIM is enabled and if not perhaps try and enable it or manually use wiper.sh.

The OS/root partition is EXT3 and the data volume is EXT4 (not sure how this affects things).

Of course if it breaks you own the pieces, so please test on a non production system.
