Drive Compatibility List - Updated Often?
I just purchased a Pro 6. I am considering purchasing 3 2TB WD20EARX. This drive is listed compatible for some ReadyNAS, but NOT the Pro6. Is it possible the list is out of date?
WD20EARS IS listed for the Pro6, what differs between S and X?
My decision for the WD20EARX is based solely on price $129 per drive. Is there a better drive to select in that price bracket?

No, the ReadyNAS models for which the WD20EARX is on the compatibility list are very different to the Pro 6. Stick to the compatibility list.AMRivlin wrote:

I'm not sure, but I do know that the drives are different. Support will be denied if you use disks outside the compatibility list.AMRivlin wrote:

Maybe look at Hitachi or Samsung - PapaBear1ApprenticeNewegg has the WD20EARS in stock for $10 more than the WD20EARX.
- AMRivlinApprenticeThanks, the Seatac ST2000DL003 is on the list and is 129.99 with the same specs.
- PapaBear1ApprenticeEspecially if you have a Mac on the system.
- AMRivlinApprenticeOk thanks for the information. Any particular drive that is recommended?
