Drive Migration
I have a Readynas ultra 4 that the ethernet failed. I am looking for what units can i move the drives to to retain the data. I have half tempted to try the vmwware image that is floating around to rec...

Both ethernet ports don't work? Have you tried changing ethernet cables and doing a direct-connection?
When did you purchase the Ultra 4? If you purchased it brand new note that it has a 3 year warranty.
You can move the disks to an Ultra, Ultra Plus or Pro with 4 or more drive bays.

If you have a spare disk put that in the NAS before doing the migration.
