Duo (RND2120) with 3 Tb drives?

That's for the Duo v2 not the Duo v1. Sounds like you probably have a v1. See here for which you have: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/

2. If you want to expand your volume yes. Obviously wait for the volume to finish resyncing and return to a redundant state before replacing the next disk.
