Duo v1 or v2?
Hi,
Sorry for the newbie question. I just bought a Duo off Amazon and am wondering if it's a v1 or v2? Is there an easy way to find out? Obviously hoping it's a v2 as I wouldn't want to have bought out of date gear.
Thanks in advance.

- LibraAspirantThat is very good advice, and saves me a lot of hassle looking for the right product :D , nevertheless i will have to save up for this new NAS, the lowest price is 890 euro, which is a lot of money.
But that's okay, currently the duo still works, and now I know what I want and need its only a matter of time. Thanks again!! - tim_hamblinAspirantI've just bought the Duo v2 from Amazon UK from one of the marketplace traders... Yes it does have the RND2000-200EUS model number... The trader did supply a 2-pin Euro plug to UK 3-pin plug adapter in the packaging. However, inside the sealed Netgear box, along with the PSU was a UK kettle power lead as well as a Euro one... So it appears that Netgear might be only using one SKU for the EU which includes the UK?

I've just bought the DUO v2 also, bit of a newbie with ReadyNAS so thought id start of with a more straightforward model. Originally made mistake with model codes, eventually realised the codes are more than just 'RND2000', thankfully Amazon kindly refunded me. So now I have the RND2000-200EUS version from Pixmania UK (reasonably cheaper than traders on Amazon UK), they sent an 3pin adapter too but like Tim I found a UK kettle power lead in the box too, so it does seem to me like Netgear are shipping the 200EUS version to all of Europe with both power lead versions in them, certainly saves them having to package up a different box specifically for the UK, perhaps a cost saving exercise(?). - svendolph1AspirantIs this version 1 ore 2?
Ready Nas Duo RND2000 V2
RND 2120-100ISS - PapaBear1ApprenticeIt is a v1. The quickest way to tell on a Duo is to look at the lower front corner of the drive access door. If it says ReadyNAS Duo, it is a v1. If it says ReadyNAS Duo v2, then it is a v2.
If you start RAIDar and it finds the device in the far right info column if it has 4.1.x it is a v1.
If you boot the device and go into Frontview comes up with an Orange and Blue themed screen and in the lower left corner says RAIDiator 4.1.x it is a v1.
Frontview on the v2 is a gray toned scheme. The Frontview version will be 5.3.x.
The V2 shown in the upper sticker is a slight hardware revision sometime in the production run. I have also heard of a V3 version as well. They were minor version changes that did not affect the specs. As we have said many time, marketing did not one any favors in retaining the model names.
